I made my way to the shop after office hours to wrap up the varnish on the rails. I also intended to ready the battery tray for its installation. I started with sanding the rails with 320-grit paper. The numerous plains of the toe and rub rails took some time, but did go a bit quicker with already having the tape in place. After scuffing the freshly varnished rails, I went inside Biscuit's cabin to fetch the battery tray. Back in the shop with the battery tray, I marked locations for two fasteners. These fasteners would secure the fiddle on the forward side of the battery tray, helping to lock in and secure the battery between the forward side of the cabin well and the fiddle itself. With the locations for the fasteners marked, I pre-drilled and then countersunk for the screw heads. I followed up the pre-drill effort with assembly of the fiddle and tray. This task now complete, I set the battery tray to the side and pivoted back to the varnishing.

With a rag and acetone, I cleaned up the sanding dust and readied the rails for varnish. Making up a small cup of varnish, I proceeded on to Biscuit and brushed on the final application of varnish. The cockpit coamings and other various trim to follow.
