For the last time, I attended to Biscuit in an effort to ready her for her trip back to home waters by securing the mast in both the trailer cradle (located on the tongue of the trailer) and within the wooden cradle I made for the cockpit. I set down some protective towels on the cockpit seating, and then placed the cradle, spanning the cockpit well and secured between the fiberglass molded coamings. I used both a telescoping ladder and some scaffolding to carefully "walk" the mast up and onto the cradles. At the midships point, specifically on the companionway slide hatch, I placed a protective towel and a boat cushion to support the middle section of the mast, and previously I had wrapped the mast in a bubble wrap sheeting, taping every foot or two.

At the ends, I wrapped a line over the mast to secure to the tongue cradle and to the wooden cradle - the wooden cradle, held down firmly by the weight of the mast, was also secure to the aft deck cleat and motor mount bracket.

Just prior to placing the mast, I inserted the freshly varnish drop boards, and after the mast was secured I covered Biscuit in protective plastic sheeting to await the owner's arrival.
